Dear hiker,
Join us in Mărginimea Sibiului for a story-like winter hike and enjoy a beautiful Christmas-filled day together with your loved ones! There will be carols, warm doughnuts, aromatic tea, and mulled wine lovingly prepared by our hosts.
We will set off from Gura Râului toward the nearby mountain huts, walking gently uphill to the ridges, where we will search together for the cutest little Christmas tree, hidden in a dreamy winter landscape. There, in the quiet of the cold season and the scent of the forest, we will rediscover the simple joy of the old-fashioned Christmas and decorate the traditional tree with natural ornaments, just like in our grandparents’ times.
At the end of the hike, we will visit the private museum of Mrs. Maria George and learn how oil is made at the oldest functioning oil mill in Transylvania, owned by Petru Birza’s family.
WHERE AND WHEN DO WE MEET?
Departure will be on Sunday, 21.12.2023, at 9:00 from Sibiu (Hornbach parking lot), heading to Gura Râului with personal cars so we can regroup.
