Dear hikers,
We invite you on a leisurely hike through the quiet, charming forests around the village of Mălâncrav – a place where time seems to have forgotten to run.
The trail takes us along wide paths through the ancient forests of the Transylvanian Highlands, in the heart of Transylvanian nature, far from everyday bustle.
We enjoy the silence, the deep bronze tones of the woods, and the fresh air, on a walk that nourishes the soul.
We then reach Mălâncrav, one of the best-preserved Saxon villages, where we visit the fortified Evangelical church – famous for its 14th-century frescoes, some of the oldest in Transylvania.
At the end, we are welcomed into a beautifully restored Saxon house, where we’ll be spoiled with a delicious meal prepared with care by Carmen, using products from her own farm: beef or kid stew cooked in a cauldron, cheeses, sausages, pork cracklings, pies, and drinks.
A full day in which nature, culture, and gastronomy intertwine harmoniously.

TRANSPORTATION
Transport is arranged individually, with costs covered by each participant. If you wish to join the hike but don’t have a car, after purchasing your ticket you can contact the guide to be put in touch with other participants who might offer a ride.

– Tours are conducted under safe conditions and with a minimum number of participants. The organizer reserves the right to reschedule or cancel tours without prior notice if these conditions are not met.
– Ticket refunds are only provided in case the organizer (guide) cancels the hike.

The “Anii Drumeției” Program is initiated and funded by the Sibiu County Council in collaboration with the Sibiu County Tourism Association. Its main purpose is to improve hiking infrastructure in the county and promote activities specific to ecotourism.
