Dear hikers,
We invite you on a leisurely-paced hike through the peaceful and charming forests surrounding the village of Mălâncrav — a place where time seems to have forgotten to hurry.
The trail takes us through gentle hills and shaded paths, into the heart of Transylvanian nature, far from the everyday hustle. We enjoy the tranquility, the lush green of the woods, and the fresh air — a soul-nourishing walk.
We then arrive in the village of Mălâncrav, one of the best-preserved Saxon villages, where we’ll visit the fortified Evangelical church — renowned for its 14th-century frescoes, some of the oldest in Transylvania.
At the end, we’ll treat ourselves to a traditional Saxon meal, lovingly prepared and full of authentic flavor, in a rustic and welcoming setting. It’s the perfect moment for stories, good cheer, and relaxation.

Mountain boots, long pants; Water bottle (min. 2L); Rain/windproof clothing in layers; Sunscreen; Cap/buff; Spare shirt; Snacks (sandwiches, bars, fruits)

TRANSPORTATION
Transport is self-organized, and each participant covers their own costs. If you want to join the hike but don’t have a car, after purchasing your ticket, please contact the guide to be connected with other participants who might offer a ride.

– The organizer (guide) reserves the right to refuse participants who are not appropriately equipped or who have inadequate physical condition.
– Tours are conducted under safe conditions and with a minimum number of participants. The organizer reserves the right to reschedule or cancel tours without prior notice if these conditions are not met.
– Ticket refunds are only provided in case the organizer (guide) cancels the hike.

The “Anii Drumeției” Program is initiated and funded by the Sibiu County Council in collaboration with the Sibiu County Tourism Association. Its main purpose is to improve hiking infrastructure in the county and promote activities specific to ecotourism.
