Dear hikers,
We will start from Valea Porumbacului and head toward Negoiu Cabin, which we’ll reach after 1 hour and 30 minutes of ascent. After a 10-minute rest, we continue on the “Cărarea Zmeilor” trail toward Șerbota Waterfall and Piatra Prânzului, then climb right to Cleopatra Saddle and from there to Negoiu Peak.
After a well-deserved break at the summit, we continue along the ridge trail toward Strunga Doamnei, through which we descend to Portița Călțunului and then return through Strunga Ciobanului to Negoiu Cabin and Valea Porumbacului.
This hike is suitable for people in good or very good physical shape, with mountain hiking experience.
WHERE AND WHEN DO WE MEET?
We meet at 5:30 AM in the DECATHLON parking lot, Shopping City Șelimbăr.
From there, we’ll travel by personal cars on the route: Sibiu – Porumbacu de Sus – Valea Porumbacului, where we will park as close as possible to the trailhead to Negoiu Cabin.

Hiking duration: approximately 12–13 hours
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT
High-ankle hiking boots with good grip, preferably waterproof
Season-appropriate clothing, including a waterproof outer layer; spare base layer or shirt, lightweight windbreaker
Small daypack, water bottle (min. 1.5–2 L), sunglasses, sunscreen, sun hat or cap
Snack for breaks along the trail. An energy gel or magnesium supplement is also recommended
Trekking poles are more than welcome
TRANSPORTATION
We can provide round-trip transport for a limited number of people. To reserve a spot, please call 0722-177001 after registration.
Once registration is complete, the guide will create a WhatsApp group to organize and redistribute participants into cars. Transport costs will be shared among the car’s occupants, as agreed with the driver.
COSTS
Cost: 90 RON/person
The hike will take place with a minimum of 5 adult participants.

– The route configuration and length will be adjusted according to weather conditions and the homogeneity/heterogeneity of the group.
– The organizer (guide) reserves the right to refuse participants who are not appropriately equipped or who have inadequate physical condition.
– Tours are conducted under safe conditions and with a minimum number of participants. The organizer reserves the right to reschedule or cancel tours without prior notice if these conditions are not met.
– Ticket refunds are only provided in case the organizer (guide) cancels the hike.
