Dear hiker,
Spring is the best time to discover the beauty of the hills in the heart of Transylvania – the fresh air, the bright green pastures, and the peace of the country roads.
We’ll start in the village of Șeica Mică, on an easy hike along a picturesque segment of the Via Transilvanica, winding through gentle hills, orchards, and flower-covered meadows. The open landscapes offer wide views of Saxon villages and the forests outlining the Târnava region.
After a few hours of relaxed walking, we’ll arrive in Agârbiciu, where a tasty finale awaits us: a visit to the father’s cow farm, a place where tradition, care for animals, and skill are felt in every product. We’ll see how cheese is made, hear the story of the place, and enjoy a tasting of fine cheeses – fresh, aged, natural, served with heart.
WHERE AND WHEN DO WE MEET?
Saturday, 03.05.2025 at 09:00, Hornbach parking lot.
We will group in personal cars and head to the village of Șeica Mică.
ROUTE INFORMATION
Level: easy
Elevation gain: 200 m
Hiking duration: 3 – 4 hours
Experience duration: 6 hours
Distance: 11 km.
This will be decided on the spot depending on the participants’ level and can be easily adjusted.
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT
Spare t-shirts, pants and socks, hiking boots, rain jacket, water bottle (min. 1 liter), food, whistle, flashlight, sunglasses, and sun hat.
It’s best to dress in layers, as the morning is cooler and midday is warmer.
COSTS
Hike participation: 80 lei adults and 35 lei child
Optional: local cheese tasting based on donation.

– The route configuration and length will be adjusted according to weather conditions and the homogeneity/heterogeneity of the group.
– The organizer (guide) reserves the right to refuse participants who are not appropriately equipped or who have inadequate physical condition.
– Tours are conducted under safe conditions and with a minimum number of participants. The organizer reserves the right to reschedule or cancel tours without prior notice if these conditions are not met.
– Ticket refunds are only provided in case the organizer (guide) cancels the hike.

The “Anii Drumeției” Program is initiated and funded by the Sibiu County Council in collaboration with the Sibiu County Tourism Association. Its main purpose is to improve hiking infrastructure in the county and promote activities specific to ecotourism.
