Dear hikers,
We will start from the Strâmba Valley, where we’ll park shortly after exiting DJ 106A. We will walk about 1 km along the Strâmba Valley, then turn left onto pastoral paths, initially heading southeast, then northeast along the blue stripe (BG) trail marker. Once we reach the top of the hill, we’ll take a break for lunch and recovery, enjoy the view, then continue along the BG trail until just before entering the forest, where we’ll take an unmarked path that leads us back to Strâmba Valley, right where we left our cars.
Everyone will be “rewarded” at the start of the hike with some delicious homemade doughnuts, which you can enjoy during our break at the top of the hill. At the end, those who wish may stay to enjoy the peace and quiet of the area and, optionally, a riverside barbecue.
This hike is suitable for people with a minimum level of fitness and children aged 5 and up.
WHERE AND WHEN DO WE MEET?
We meet in the morning, at 9:30 AM, in the parking lot of Pensiunea Dumbrava Sibiului, next to the Hilton Hotel.
From there, we’ll head out in personal vehicles, on the route: Sibiu – Rășinari – Valea Strâmba, where we’ll park around 10:00 AM, at the point where the Strâmba Valley flows into the Seviș River.

REQUIRED EQUIPMENT
High hiking boots with grippy soles; boots should have lugged soles for better traction on uneven terrain
Season-appropriate clothing, including a waterproof outer layer; spare t-shirt or base layer
Small daypack; sunglasses; bottle with warm tea or water, at least 1 liter
Snack for a mid-hike break
Trekking poles can be very helpful
TRANSPORTATION
We can provide round-trip transport for a limited number of participants. To reserve a seat, please contact us by phone at 0722-177001 after registering.
Once registration is complete, the guide will create a WhatsApp group where we’ll coordinate and organize carpooling. Transport costs will be shared among the passengers of each vehicle, in agreement with the driver.
COSTS
Cost: 80 lei/adult, 20 lei/child (ages 8 to 14), 50 lei/student or pupil
Doughnuts are included in the price.
The hike will take place with a minimum of 12 adult participants.
Children aged 5 and up may participate, as long as each child is accompanied by an adult (parents are responsible for evaluating whether the trail is suitable for their child).
