Dear hikers,
For Sunday, April 27th, we’ve planned an easy-to-moderate hike of 6 km, connecting two villages with fortified churches: Ighișul Nou and Valea Viilor.
We’ll meet in Mediaș, from where we’ll take a minibus to Ighișul Nou. We’ll start with a guided tour of the fortified church. From the church, we begin our hike—climbing gently through meadows and forest until we reach Valea Viilor, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where we’ll admire the most fortified Evangelical church in the area. Bonus: we’ll have access to climb both of the towers!
Return to Mediaș will be by minibus.
WHERE AND WHEN DO WE MEET?
4:30 PM, at Mediaș Train Station (Str. Unirii)
From Mediaș, we will travel by minibus to Ighișul Nou.

COSTS
Early bird price (available until April 22nd): 160 lei/adult (includes guiding, church entrance tickets, and transport from Mediaș to Ighișul Nou and from Valea Viilor back to Mediaș)
Standard price: 195 lei/person (includes guiding, church entrance tickets, and transport from Mediaș to Ighișul Nou and from Valea Viilor back to Mediaș)
Children up to 14 years old can join for free.
The experience will take place with a minimum of 5 participants.
The number of available spots is limited to 15.

Note:
– The route configuration and length will be adjusted according to weather conditions and the homogeneity/heterogeneity of the group.
– The organizer (guide) reserves the right to refuse participants who are not appropriately equipped or who have inadequate physical condition.
– Tours are conducted under safe conditions and with a minimum number of participants. The organizer reserves the right to reschedule or cancel tours without prior notice if these conditions are not met.
– Ticket refunds are only provided in case the organizer (guide) cancels the hike.

The “Anii Drumeției” Program is initiated and funded by the Sibiu County Council in collaboration with the Sibiu County Tourism Association. Its main purpose is to improve hiking infrastructure in the county and promote activities specific to ecotourism.
