Dear hikers,
On Saturday, March 22, we propose something different: a hike and a unique, playful visit to the fortified church of Mălâncrav, followed by a hike on the surrounding hills and ending with a traditional local dessert.
The meeting point is at the entrance to the fortified church perimeter in Mălâncrav (near the iron gate).
We will first climb to the church and, for 30 minutes, explore it through an architectural treasure hunt, following clues to independently discover a series of unique elements of the church, its history, and the local community.
Next, we will take part in the official guided tour of the church. We will also visit Apafi Manor, located nearby, to admire its facades and restoration work carried out by the Mihai Eminescu Trust years ago.
Then, we will embark on a leisurely circular hike through the hills and forests surrounding the village. We will return to the village and rest at a Local Gastronomic Point (PGL), where we will enjoy a dessert and tea/coffee.
