Dear travelers,
We invite you to join us on an adventure along the lesser-known trails of Tilișca, paths cherished by generations of shepherd families. These trails have been used for centuries to reach the picturesque shepherd huts above the village.
This hike will be enriched by the presence of Oara, the daughter of a shepherd family from Tilișca. She will share stories about the daily life of shepherd families and memories from her childhood spent in the summer huts, where she helped her parents with seasonal work.
Oara will welcome us warmly to her family’s hut and delight our taste buds with a delicious traditional bulz – polenta with cheese, a specialty of the region.
The route is a circular trail of approximately 11 kilometers, with an elevation gain of 350 meters.
WHERE AND WHEN DO WE MEET?
We will meet at 9:00 AM, in the parking lot near Cabana Valea Aurie.

REQUIRED EQUIPMENT
Hiking boots, season-appropriate hiking pants, technical base layer (synthetic or merino), fleece, windproof and/or waterproof jacket, hat, gloves, backpack with an extra shirt, water, tea, and food for a picnic.
Recommended: microspikes, hiking poles – depending on weather conditions, we will update the equipment list one day before the hike.
TRANSPORTATION
We offer free transportation for up to 8 participants, on a first-come, first-served basis. Seat allocation and confirmation in the minibus will be made after purchasing the participation ticket, by sending a message to the guide.

– The route configuration and length will be adjusted according to weather conditions and the homogeneity/heterogeneity of the group.
– The organizer (guide) reserves the right to refuse participants who are not appropriately equipped or who have inadequate physical condition.
– Tours are conducted under safe conditions and with a minimum number of participants. The organizer reserves the right to reschedule or cancel tours without prior notice if these conditions are not met.
– Ticket refunds are only provided in case the organizer (guide) cancels the hike.

The “Anii Drumeției” Program is initiated and funded by the Sibiu County Council in collaboration with the Sibiu County Tourism Association. Its main purpose is to improve hiking infrastructure in the county and promote activities specific to ecotourism.
