We invite you to enjoy nature together – a winter hike in the Făgăraș Mountains on Valea Sâmbetei. The hike is a round trip, of medium difficulty, with a level difference of 800m and an estimated duration of 7-8 hours. Our plan is to traverse Valea Sâmbetei and climb up to the base of Fereastra Mare a Sâmbetei, with a stop at Cabana Valea Sâmbetei. Of course, the weather and terrain conditions will dictate how far we can advance.
WHERE AND WHEN DO WE MEET?
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT
– layered mountain clothing adapted to the weather conditions of the cold season (hat, gloves, technical shirts, fleece, jacket and hiking pants resistant to moisture, wind, and cold);
– gaiters;
– day hiking backpack;
– headlamp;
– at least 1L of water/tea;
– snacks/sandwiches;
– optional: crampons, trekking poles.
COSTS
Includes specialized guidance and snowshoes. Does not include other costs.
The activity will take place with a minimum of 4 participants, maximum 15.

Note:
– The route configuration and length will be adjusted according to weather conditions and the homogeneity/heterogeneity of the group.
– The organizer (guide) reserves the right to refuse participants who are not appropriately equipped or who have inadequate physical condition.
– Tours are conducted under safe conditions and with a minimum number of participants. The organizer reserves the right to reschedule or cancel tours without prior notice if these conditions are not met.
– Ticket refunds are only provided in case the organizer (guide) cancels the hike.

The “Anii Drumeției” Program is initiated and funded by the Sibiu County Council in collaboration with the Sibiu County Tourism Association. Its main purpose is to improve hiking infrastructure in the county and promote activities specific to ecotourism.
