Dear hiker,
We invite you on a fairytale hike, suitable for all ages, where we will discover the hidden beauty of the Hârtibaciu Valley, a magical land where time seems to find a different, calmer, and smoother rhythm.
Our route will take us through shady forests and gentle hills, leading to the imposing Ancient Oak—a silent witness of time that has watched over these lands for seven centuries. The journey continues towards the Paradise of Horses, a dreamlike place where graceful Arabian horses spend their days in freedom, in a picturesque landscape alongside deer and other woodland creatures.
And since a day spent in the fresh air deserves a joyful ending, we will indulge in a delicious cauldron-cooked meal, lovingly prepared in the heart of nature. With warm drinks, stories by the fire, and plenty of good cheer, this experience will surely remain in the heart of every traveler.
WHERE AND WHEN DO WE MEET?
Saturday, 15.02.2025, at 09:00 AM, Str. Ștefan cel Mare, Trei Stejari, next to the Profi store.
We will group into personal cars and depart for the village of Cașolț.
ROUTE INFORMATION
Level: Easy
Elevation gain: 100 – 200 m
Duration: 5-6 hours
Distance: 10 km (to be determined on-site based on participants’ level and easily adjustable).
We will depart around 09:00 AM towards Cașolt, where the actual hike will begin, and then return to Domeniul “Raiul Cailor” to enjoy the beauty of the place and more relaxation.
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT

It is best to dress in layers, as the morning is cool, and midday is warmer.
COSTS
Guiding: 70 lei/adults and 35 lei/child
Optional – Cauldron-cooked meal: 30 lei
Additionally, drinks can be purchased separately at affordable prices.
At the end of the program, children may ride horses under parental supervision and with specialized assistance. The costs will vary depending on the duration and the number of participants and will be paid directly on-site.

– The organizer (guide) reserves the right to refuse participants who are not appropriately equipped or who have inadequate physical condition.
– Tours are conducted under safe conditions and with a minimum number of participants. The organizer reserves the right to reschedule or cancel tours without prior notice if these conditions are not met.
– Ticket refunds are only provided in case the organizer (guide) cancels the hike.

The “Anii Drumeției” Program is initiated and funded by the Sibiu County Council in collaboration with the Sibiu County Tourism Association. Its main purpose is to improve hiking infrastructure in the county and promote activities specific to ecotourism.
