Dear hikers,
We invite you to join us on a hike through the hills above Rășinari, where you can enjoy breathtaking views of Sibiu, the Făgăraș Mountains, and the Lotru Mountains. We’ll walk along old shepherd trails and immerse ourselves in the authentic landscapes of Mărginimea Sibiului, dotted with picturesque wooden huts.
Along the way, we’ll uncover the history of these fascinating places, inspired by local monographs, and experience the joy of a winter hike that will warm our hearts.
This is a medium-difficulty trail, 14 kilometers long, with an elevation gain of 700 meters. The path includes some steeper sections through the forest, so participants should be in good physical condition and have some basic hiking experience.

Meeting point: 9:00 AM in the parking lot near Cabana Valea Aurie.

REQUIRED EQUIPMENT
Hiking boots, season-appropriate hiking pants, technical base layer (synthetic or merino), fleece, windproof and/or waterproof jacke, cap or hat, backpack with a spare top, water (1.5 L), and food for a picnic
TRANSPORTATION
Free transport is available for up to 8 people, on a first-come, first-served basis. Seat allocation and confirmation in the minibus will be made after purchasing the participation ticket, via a message sent to the guide.

– The route configuration and length will be adjusted according to weather conditions and the homogeneity/heterogeneity of the group.
– The organizer (guide) reserves the right to refuse participants who are not appropriately equipped or who have inadequate physical condition.
– Tours are conducted under safe conditions and with a minimum number of participants. The organizer reserves the right to reschedule or cancel tours without prior notice if these conditions are not met.
– Ticket refunds are only provided in case the organizer (guide) cancels the hike.

The “Anii Drumeției” Program is initiated and funded by the Sibiu County Council in collaboration with the Sibiu County Tourism Association. Its main purpose is to improve hiking infrastructure in the county and promote activities specific to ecotourism.
