Dear hikers,
We will start near the Fortified Church in Hosman, where we will find a place to park the cars and head south, toward the village of Glâmboaca, located on the banks of the Olt River. Once we reach the top of the hill, we will admire the majestic panorama of the Făgăraș Mountains. After a short snack break, we’ll continue slightly east towards the village of Fofeldea, then turn north to return to Hosman via a forest trail.
For those who make it to the end, we’ll have a local culinary surprise: a traditional Saxon hencleș to enjoy at the end of the hike.
The hike is suitable for individuals with a minimum level of physical fitness, including children.
WHERE AND WHEN DO WE MEET?
We meet on Saturday, October 12, 2023, at 9:00 AM in the parking lot of Hobby Mobila, 195 Ștefan cel Mare St., on the way out toward Agnita.
From there, we will drive in our personal cars along the route: Sibiu – Hosman, and park on the street by the village’s Fortified Church. We will return to collect the cars from the same spot at the end of the hike.

Hike duration: approximately 5-5.5 hours; including transfer to/from Hosman, approximately 7 hours
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT
Hiking boots or shoes with good grip
Season-appropriate clothing, including a waterproof outer layer
Small daypack
Change of shirt
Hat/cap, sunglasses
Water bottle, minimum 1 liter
Snack for a mid-hike break
Trekking poles can be helpful.
TRANSPORTATION
We can provide round-trip transportation for a limited number of people. To reserve a spot, please contact us by phone at 0722-177001 after registration.
After registration, the guide will create a WhatsApp group for organizing and redistributing people into available cars. Transportation costs for those bringing their cars will be shared among the passengers (approximate cost: 20 lei/person).
COSTS
80 lei/adult or children over 14 years old.
20 lei/child under 14 years old.
The hike will proceed with a minimum of 10 adult participants.
Children 5 years and older can participate if accompanied by an adult. Parents are responsible for assessing the trail difficulty for their children.

The “Anii Drumeției” Program is initiated and funded by the Sibiu County Council in collaboration with the Sibiu County Tourism Association. Its main purpose is to improve hiking infrastructure in the county and promote activities specific to ecotourism.
