The cycling circuit ‘Emil Cioran’

The "Emil Cioran" cycling circuit offers cyclists, of any level of physical fitness, a safe and pleasant way to get out of Sibiu to the surrounding areas, away from traffic.

The circuit has a length of 23 kilometers and a difference in level of 265 meters. It starts in front of the Municipal Stadium, crosses Sub Arini Park, then enters the Dumbrava Forest before the Zoo (entrance from Valea Aurie). After going through the Dumbrava Forest, immediately after the Răşinari Hermitage, the route descends towards Răşinari. From the “Emil Cioran” Memorial House, cyclists will follow country roads and forest roads of the Dumbrava Forest to return to Sibiu. The “Emil Cioran” cycling route crosses special places near Sibiu, crossing oak forests, pastures and historic villages, giving the cyclist the opportunity to enjoy the picturesque landscape of the Sibiu Margin and the specifics of the Saxon towns at the foot of the Cindrel Mountains.
